Sam Planta believes that every organization is ultimately about people, and when people flourish, organizations flourish. That conviction has shaped decades of leadership dedicated to helping businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, and civic organizations build cultures where individuals can thrive together.
For Sam, leadership isn't simply about achieving results. It's about stewarding the people God has entrusted to each organization.
Throughout his career, he has worked with executives, business owners, educational institutions, municipalities, and Fortune 500 companies, helping leaders align vision, strengthen communication, and create environments marked by trust, accountability, and purpose. His work has impacted organizations including Dell Technologies, American Airlines, Marriott, the Houston Rockets, State Farm, The University of Texas, and many others.
As the former Chief Culture Officer for Touchstone Communities, Sam understood that healthy cultures don't happen by accident. They are intentionally cultivated through servant leadership, meaningful relationships, and shared values. Rather than treating culture as an afterthought, he helped organizations make it the foundation upon which lasting success could be built.
His approach reflects biblical principles that value every individual as someone created with dignity, purpose, and unique gifts. Whether facilitating executive retreats, strategic planning sessions, or leadership workshops, Sam seeks to create spaces where collaboration replaces division, wisdom guides decisions, and people are empowered to become their very best.
That same heart extends beyond the boardroom.
A Certified Mediator through The University of Texas School of Law's Dispute Resolution Center, Sam has helped individuals navigate conflict with patience, understanding, and respect. He has also invested decades into civic leadership, serving with organizations such as Leadership Austin, the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, the Austin Design Commission, youth athletics, and numerous community initiatives. His commitment to serving others earned him national recognition as the National Youth Sports Coaches Association's Outstanding Youth Sports Leader.
While Sam's résumé reflects remarkable professional accomplishments, those who know him best often point to something even greater: his ability to bring people together.
